The IT List: Going for Gold

It’s the color of first-place medals, shiny coins, and ethereal halos. With all of its shimmering greatness, it’s no surprise that gold is making a big style statement this fall. After an Olympic-filled summer, we’re taking our focus off of the gold medals and onto our own metallic wardrobe items. Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief at Harpers Bazaar predicts that this season, the focus will definitely shift from silver to gold. She goes even further to say that she thinks the glamorous metallic will be paired with khaki. We certainly hope so!

From dresses to shoes to nail polish, add a little sparkle to any outfit with a dash of this shimmery shade. We decided to pull some suggestions for you and, not surprisingly…we struck gold (sorry for the pun)!

What we picked: The Next CEO – Nicole by O.P.I, Cutout Stretchy Bangle – Forever 21, Pazzo Legend Loafer in Gold, Sequined Cocktail Dress with Belt – Forever 21, e.l.f. Studio Pigment Eye Shadow in Golden Goddess, Xhilaration Gold Tatiana Clutch – Target, Topshop Sequin Tee in Gold

Do you have any favorite gold items? How do you incorporate metallic into your wardrobe? Post a comment!
