The Ultimate Studying Playlist

Does listening to music help you study? Sticking in some headphones and drowning out the world is the easiest way for some of us to focus on our work, but sometimes it’s hard finding songs that don’t end up distracting us instead. With that in mind, we pulled together some perfect tunes for studying.

Mozart

You may have heard all about how listening to classical music can help you concentrate while you study. But, did you know that there is something that’s actually called the Mozart effect? Research suggests that certain sonatas may actually help performance while studying or working on creative projects. If you want to be specific, most researchers conducted the study with the sonata below.

Hans Zimmer

We absolutely LOVE Hans Zimmer. Even if you don’t recognize his name, you will recognize his music. The good part of it is – even though you may know his work, you won’t be distracted and sing along. Hans Zimmer is a German composer that has composed music for over 150 films, so his music is all instrumental. Check out some of his top compositions below.

Nature Sounds

Sounds in nature, such as rain or the ocean, help calm and relax us. The more relaxed we are, the less our minds are racing with distracting thoughts. Instead of music, see if nature sounds work for you while studying.

Alpha Waves

Some people believe that listening to alpha waves help calm irrelevant brain activity and increase focus and creativity. Why not see if it works for you?
