DIY PB Pretzel Bites

Craving something salty, sweet, and super simple to make? We have you covered. These hard-to-resist pretzel bites combine all sorts of peanut butter, pretzels, and some chocolatey goodness! Plus, they only require a handful of ingredients and a recipe that’s incredibly easy to follow. Is your mouth watering yet?

  • 1 bag of bite size pretzels (we used Snyder’s of Hanover)
  • 1 6 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 3/8 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup of powdered (confectioner’s) sugar

Step One: Place brown sugar, powdered sugar, butter, and peanut butter into a mixing bowl.

Step Two: Mix ingredients together until a dough forms.

Step Three: Roll the dough into a teaspoon-sized ball. You can scoop the first few with an actual teaspoon but, after you get the hang of it, you can really just eyeball it.

Step Four: Smush the dough ball between two pretzels in order to form a sandwich. (And, yes, “smush” is the technical term here!)

Repeat step four until you’re out of dough, placing each of your “sandwiches” onto a non-stick baking sheet! To skip any sort of mess, feel free to line the baking sheet with tin foil or parchment paper.

Step Five: Place the dough in the freezer for 20 minutes or until semi-firm.

Step Six: Add chocolate chips to a microwave-save bowl. Melt the chocolate by covering the bowl and placing in microwave for 20 second intervals. Stir between each!

Step Seven: Remove the pretzel bites from the freezer.

Step Eight: Dunk the pretzel bite into the chocolate and place back on the baking sheet. Repeat until all of the pretzel bites have been dipped in the chocolate.

Step Nine: Pop the baking sheet back in the refrigerator into the chocolate has set. Enjoy!

There you have it! Give it a go and post a comment with how your pretzel bites turn out!
