You’re probably well aware of Mother’s Day lurking around the corner if you have a mom or a mother figure you plan on celebrating. Are you lucky enough to call this person one of your best friends? If so, take a look at these little reminders of why they deserve to be praised this Sunday.
1. She’s always been a role model.
Moms are basically multitasking queens. You might have trouble finding time for all of your friends and schoolwork, but mom basically has that balancing act mastered. Paying bills…managing a household…going to work…and still keeping a positive attitude? That’s goals right there!
2. She puts up with your shenanigans.
Don’t lie…have you ever done something you know your mom wasn’t all too happy about? Hey, it happens! Your mom didn’t have to be so cool about it, but she gave you the benefit of the doubt—didn’t she?
3. She teaches you the things school can’t.
Sure, you’re learning valuable skills in the classroom that will allow you to land a job and build a career, but not everything can be taught in a classroom. From cooking delicious non-microwaved meals to doing laundry without turning your socks red…think about what your mother figure taught you.
4. She’s basically superwoman.
Ever send one of those, “Mommm…I could have been dying!” texts after your mom takes too long to respond to you? She might not be up to par on using technology, but chances are she still always has a solution to your problems. Moms are practically superheroes that always come to the rescue at the end of the day.
5. She believes in you.
Your mom is possibly your biggest fan. She’s always rooting for you to get good grades, embrace new opportunities, and land that awesome internship. She wants to see you succeed, and she knows that you can.
