Fun Dessert Recipes for the Chocolate Addict

We admit we have a bit of a weakness when it comes to chocolate – but can you blame us? There’s something about this heavenly treat that can turn any bad day into a good one. In honor of this dessert staple, we took the liberty of pulling together some delicious recipes for all of our fellow chocolate addicts. Dig in!


Oreo Truffles

Mmmm… so decadent! Your favorite chocolate cookie is absolutely delicious in truffle form. The best part? This recipe from Chocolate, Chocolate and More is so simple, and it only has three ingredients!

What you’ll need:

  • 30 oreo cookies + 3 crushed cookies without filling
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 6 oz dark chocolate melting wafers

Chocolate Covered Bacon

When it comes to the most addicting food items, chocolate and bacon are easily the top contenders. It shouldn’t take much convincing to get you to try this salty and sweet combination! We love this bite-sized recipe from Cooking Classy.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 package of thick cut bacon
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp vegetable shortening
  • 2 oz white candy melts

Mint Chocolate Candy Bark

It doesn’t need to be the holiday season to enjoy a minty-fresh, chocolaty treat. Regardless of the time of year, this mint chocolate candy bark from Sally’s Baking Addiction is to die for!

What you’ll need:

  • 7 oz white chocolate, coursely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green candy melts
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, coursely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

Raspberry Chocolate Cups

This recipe is so rich, you’d think it’d be served up at a 5-star restaurant. However, you can make these creamy chocolate treats right at home thanks to Home Cooking Adventure.

What you’ll need:

  • Aluminum muffin cups
  • 14 oz dark chocolate
  • 5 oz raspberries + additional fresh raspberries for garnish
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • Powdered sugar
