8 Shows Worth Binging Over Break

Hello, winter break! It’s finally time to spend some quality time with your bed, curl up in your favorite pajamas and fuzzy socks, and get ready for a binge-watching marathon. Not sure where to start? We rounded up a few of December’s premiers, along with some of 2017’s most binge-watched series sprinkled in. Check ’em out!

1. Black Mirror

It’s suspenseful, it’s eerie, and it’s back on Netflix for season four on December 29th! In a similar fashion as The Twilight Zone, each episode of Black Mirror is its own mini drama that spirals into dark themes and frightening outcomes of modern technology. Since each episode has its own story line, watching past seasons isn’t necessary, but — trust us — you’ll probably want to.

2. Big Little Lies

With notable names like Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Shailene Woodley, it’s easy to see why this HBO drama was such a hit. This dark comedy is set in an affluent town where murder, mischief, and lies are woven into each episode.

3. Curb Your Enthusiasm

You’ll definitely laugh out loud with this largely-improvised comedy series, which features Seinfeld’s co-creator Larry David in a slew of awkward encounters, hilarious interactions, and just general slap-on-the-knee scenarios. Watch it on HBO.

4. The Magicians

While the premise feels oddly similar to Harry Potter, fans of the show claim it’s nothing like you’d expect. This Sci-Fi series follows a grad student at a magically-focused college, where he soon learns how real the fantasy worlds he once read about actually are.

5. Stranger Things

If you’ve yet to dive into the upside down world of demogorgons and shadow monsters, now’s a better time than never — Netflix recently announced that the Golden Globe nominated show was (unsurprisingly) renewed for a third season.

6. Riverdale

Another series that Netflix-ers completely devoured this year, Riverdale is a small town mystery series featuring a cast of characters based on the Archie Comics.

7. Fuller House

Ahh…the nostalgia! This modern spinoff of the 90’s sitcom Full House is already back for season three on December 22nd. It’s a great time to catch up — The trailer teases at a possible pregnancy!

8. Travelers

Set hundreds of years in the future, this time-traveling show follows some of the last remaining humans who can send their consciousness back in time in order to change history. Get ready for season two on December 22nd!
